What is recycling
Recycling is the
collection and reuse of materials that would otherwise be
considered waste to produce new products.
Waste is unwanted or
undesired material left over after the completion of a
process.
Waste can exist in any
phase of matter solid, liquid, or gas. When released in the
latter two states, gas especially, the wastes are referred
to as emissions. It is usually strongly linked with
pollution.
We care about our
environment and we care that our natural resources will one
day be consumed by us, therefore our children will be
affected. In order to protect the future of our children,
Recyclecartridge.org has been established.
Why
recycle?
Motivations for recycling include
environmental concerns, as recycling reduces the use of
energy and raw materials and the need to dispose of waste,
and for cost reasons, in situations where production from
recycled material is less expensive than from new material.
While extensive variety of waste is recyclable, materials
commonly recycled on an industrial scale include glass,
paper, aluminum, asphalt and steel. Recycled materials can
be derived from pre-consumer waste (materials used in
manufacturing), or post-consumer waste (materials discarded
by the consumer).
To Protect our environment and conserve our natural resources
The natural environment comprises all living and non-living things that occur naturally on Earth. In its purest sense, it is thus an environment that is not the result of human activity or intervention. The natural environment may be contrasted to "the built environment."
To ensure that plastics, oils and other materials are reused over and over again
Reuse is distinguished from most forms of
recycling, where the good is reduced to a raw material and
used in the making of a new good (eg crushing of bottles to
make glass for new bottles).
To ensure that we can recycle effectively and save money on recycled product
To Market and sell cheaper
remanufactured products and ensure that we can reuse
everything that is produced over and over again
